Wax for making candles - how to choose the right wax for me?
How to choose candle wax flakes from all the types on the website?

Introduction
We carry wonderful collections of candle wax flakes, and we are here to help you make sense of them!
Wax is one of the most important components in candle making, affecting the burn, scent throw, and final appearance of the candle.
Therefore, it is important to choose the right wax for your needs.
Here you will find a high-quality collection of innovative, ready-to-use waxes, including improved additives so you won't need to add anything beyond fragrance and color.
Our waxes come in three main series: Soy (S), Coconut (C), and Professional (SP).
What are the differences between the candle wax flakes in our series:
Each wax series has its own characteristics, designed for different uses:
Waxes for containers and jars:
These waxes provide a smooth and beautiful finish, adhere well to the container, and provide maximum scent throw. They are ideal for candles in glass jars, ceramic, and metal containers.
Types of stand-alone candle wax flakes (for silicone molds):
These waxes are slightly harder and shrink a little after drying to make them easier to remove from the mold. They mix well with color, and it is recommended to add up to 5% fragrance to them to maintain their stability.
Details of our series:
Series S – Soy-based wax:
Series S includes blends based on 100% natural soy wax, with natural additives that improve burn quality and scent throw. The wax comes in an off-white shade:
- S300 – is a strong soy wax flake for making candles in containers / jars / ceramic containers and whipped candles. It has an excellent finish and high scent throw, suitable for hot summer months and shipping, also suitable for making whipped candles.
- S400 – wax for candles in small silicone molds, dessert candles, strong whipped candles, and tarts for burners. It shrinks slightly and is easy to release from the mold.
Series C – Coconut-based candle making wax:
Series C is based on 100% natural coconut wax, with additives to improve burn quality and scent throw. The wax has a white color:
- C100 – Soft coconut wax for candles in containers / jars / ceramic containers. Softer compared to S300 and has a lower pouring temperature, making it more suitable for essential oils and workshops.
- C200 – Hard wax flakes for candles in silicone molds / tarts / desserts. Harder than S400 and has a clean, precise white finish.
SP Series – Professional wax for advanced users:
The SP series is an innovative series of soy-based waxes, reinforced with 15%-20% paraffin. It is intended for those who want more durable candles with increased scent throw and a perfect finish:
- SP500 – Soft wax for candles in containers / jars / ceramic containers.
- SP600 – Wax for candles in silicone molds / tarts / desserts. Excellent for large candles with small details.
How to choose the right wax for you?
- For candles in jars and containers: Choose S300, C100, or SP500 – depending on whether you want natural wax (soy/coconut) or professional wax with paraffin.
- For stand-alone candles/silicone molds: Choose S400, C200, or SP600 – according to the desired level of hardness.
- For maximum scent throw: The SP series is the best choice due to the paraffin reinforcement.
- For appearance and a smooth finish: S300 and SP500 provide a particularly smooth surface and are suitable for closed containers.
- For advanced handmade candles: If you create handmade candles and are looking for a high-quality result, SP600 or C200 will be especially suitable.
- For natural and environmentally friendly candles: The S or C series will be the most natural and healthy choice.
- For long-lasting candles: SP500 and SP600 provide particularly high durability thanks to the paraffin combination.
Tips for working with candle making wax
- Adding scent and color: Use precise quantities to avoid problems with mixing or burning.
- Proper heating: It is recommended to heat the wax to the optimal temperature before adding fragrance oils and color.
- Choosing the right wick: The type of wax affects the type of wick required. Make sure the wick is suitable for the wax viscosity and container size.
- Choosing the right container: The candle container affects scent throw and burn quality. Thick glass will help heat spread evenly.
- Allowing stabilization time: To ensure quality burning, it is recommended to let the candle stabilize for at least 24 hours before use.
- Proper storage: Store candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, to prevent warping and fading of fragrance.

Summary
Choosing the right candle making wax is a critical step in the candle making process. Each type of wax affects the burn, scent throw, and final appearance of the candle.
Whether you are looking for natural wax, soft wax, or professional wax – here you will find the perfect solution for every need.
Candle making is an art, and when you choose the right wax, the result is high-quality, durable, and powerfully fragrant candles.
